It seems like forever ago that I had the "math teacher" stress of STAAR hanging over my head. I remember thinking did I teach enough, will they remember enough, and in my experience the results were always great especially with me Algebra I EOC exams. The weird thing is that now as an elective teacher I see the stress on all the kids faces more since I do not have the same amount on my plate. I have enjoyed tutoring the kids from 7th grade math to Algebra I over the last several months in class and find it funny when the kids say "Mrs. Brown, you know math?" Kids are great, aren't they.
All that being said, I will not get to meet with the classes next week until Thursday. We are out on Friday so I want to provide an opportunity for the kids to catch up and then just relax with "educational" games - Yes Minecraft fall under this title.
Have a fabulous weekend, get lots of rest, eat a hearty protein filled breakfast (The McDonalds on Nacogdoches, by the way is giving away free breakfast to all students and teachers from 6 to 9 on Tuesday!)
I know all of you will do a great job if you put your mind to it because I teach all the genius' on campus!
